Móti is proud to announce member Sarah Wylie’s new solo show ‘somewhere and nowhere’ opening at the Pier Arts Centre, Stromness at the end of August.

‘…these places stand desolate and still, serving as reminders of the impermanence of nature and the inevitable passage of time.’

This new body of work by Orcadian artist Sarah Wylie is an exploration of time and space. Using film to capture both still and moving image, Wylie delves into ideas of presence, human experience, and the traces of activity which can remain and linger within a space long after it has been abandoned.

Through experimental photographic techniques, Wylie investigates notions of time and the transience of existence – both familiar and mysterious – emphasising the transformative power of time on all forms.
